BYU OL Veikoso passes away after maintaining wall collapses
BYU offending lineman Sione Veikoso died in a construction accident in his home town of Kailua, Hawai’i, on Friday. He was 22 years old.An overall of six men were at the site when a 15-foot keeping rock wall behind a home partially collapsed and caught 3 of them, the Honolulu Fire Department said, according to the Honolulu Star-Advertiser. Veikoso was noticable dead on the scene, his household confirmed to the Star-Advertiser, after emergency workers cleared the rubble. The two other caught men were required to the healthcare facility in major but stable condition. A third hurt guy declined to be required to a hospital.
“We are extremely saddened to discover of the awful death of one of our brothers, Sione Veikoso,” Cougars coach Kalani Sitake tweeted. “His death is heartbreaking to everyone. We provide our deepest acknowledgements and prayers to his family as we share in their grief. Our love for you is permanently, Sione!”

, 305-pound Veikoso played in one game as a redshirt freshman this season for the Cougars. He started his collegiate career at Arizona State, appearing in one game for the Sun Devils before moving to BYU this previous summer.Veikoso was arranged to fly back to BYU next week, member of the family informed the Star-Advertiser.
