Stoops: UGA ‘purchased some respectable players’

Oct 11, 2023, 08:59 AM ET Kentucky coach Mark Stoops openly advocated more financial support for his program after the Wildcats’ 51-13 loss to Georgia on Saturday, putting a spotlight on the NIL distinction in between his group’s players and those on the No. 1 Bulldogs.

“I can assure you– Georgia, they bought some pretty good players,” Stoops stated Monday in response to an upset fan on his weekly radio show. “You’re permitted to nowadays, and we could use some aid. Mark and I spoke about NIL pregame, and we talked about it in our conference. I’m not biting on that.”
