ESPN’s No. 38 hire pound Wyatt devotes to Oregon

    • Graduate of Northwestern University.Oregon’s defense received a considerable boost Friday as outside linebacker Nasir Wyatt, ESPN’s No. 38 hire in the 2025 class and No. 2 player from California, revealed his commitment to play for the Ducks.Wyatt, who bets Southern California power Mater Dei High School in Santa Ana, California, picked Oregon over Tennessee and Texas, where he also took check outs. He told ESPN that the experience Oregon defensive coordinator Tosh Lupoi and coach Dan Lanning had in establishing leading outside linebackers steered him toward the program. “Tosh, he currently has actually a strategy put in shop for me that permits me to do whatever I do best,” Wyatt informed ESPN.

      “When I increase there, he’s going to have the ability to teach me a lot about the game, just because him and Lanning have a lot edge background. [Lanning] being the defensive planner at Georgia, he had Travon Walker and all those guys from that defense that entered the first round. Having him at Oregon as the head coach, it’s having two defensive-minded coaches to better my edge abilities. “I couldn’t miss on the chance.”The 6-foot-3, 215-pound Wyatt had 14 sacks and 21 takes on for loss last season for Mater Dei.
