defensive end Chico Bennett Jr. will miss the season opener versus Tennessee on Saturday with a knee injury, coach Tony Elliott said Tuesday.Elliott told reporters throughout his weekly news conference that the Cavaliers are confident Bennett will return next week versus James Madison.Bennett, the group’s finest pass-rusher, sustained a noncontact knee injury throughout a preseason skirmish two weeks ago. Elliott said Bennett had surgical treatment to remove loose bone pieces that triggered swelling in the knee.”He was pushing for today,”Elliott said.”It was a huge scare for everybody. We’re really fortunate that it was a circumstance where it was a small treatment. He’s strolling excellent, so I’m preparing for next week is sensible for him.”Elliott also stated beginning security Antonio Clary is a game-time choice with a high ankle sprain
