Arizona St. QB Rashada to enter transfer portal

    • Graduate of Northwestern University.Arizona State freshman quarterback Jaden Rashada is set to enter the transfer portal, his agent Henry Organ of Disruptive Sports told ESPN on Thursday.Rashada appeared in 3 games for the Sun Devils last fall, passing for 485 backyards with 4 goals and three interceptions. ESPN’s No. 31 general hire in the 2023 class at first signed with Florida but was launched from his national letter of intent after a$13 million name, image and similarity agreement failed with Florida’s Gator Collective. The Pittsburg, California, native eventually signed with Arizona State, where his father, Harlen, played protective back from 1992 to 1994. Jaden Rashada posted a message to social networks thanking his Arizona State teammates and coaches and stating that he is”looking for the best suitable for my career.”Rashada has 4 years of eligibility left and will become one of the leading players offered in the

      spring transfer cycle, which opened Tuesday and lasts through the end of the month. He opened the 2023 season as ASU’s starter however missed most of the year with a knee injury. The 6-foot-4, 185-pound Rashada missed spring practice with the Sun Devils following offseason thumb surgery. “Somebody will be getting an elite skill and an excellent person!! Will always be rooting for you!”Arizona State coach Kenny Dillingham posted on social media, acknowledging Rashada’s plans.ASU returns senior quarterback Trenton Bourguet and included Sam Leavitt, a transfer from Michigan State.
