Utah St. football player Seldon passes away in drowning

Utah State cornerback Andre Seldon Jr. passed away Saturday in an evident drowning at a Utah reservoir, according to the school. He was 22.
According to the Cache County Constable’s Workplace, a search started Saturday afternoon at Porcupine Reservoir after callers reported a young man was seen cliff diving and did not resurface.Seldon’s body was recovered at 9:05 p.m. MT after a substantial search that included a dive team and helicopter from the Utah Department of Public Security.” Our investigation leads us to think this is a tragic mishap as several witnesses state the same details,”the Cache County Sheriff’s Workplace said.The Utah State University community is mourning the death of football student-athlete Andre Seldon Jr.Our ideas and prayers are with his household and liked ones. pic.twitter.com/cIScmcewp5!.?.!— USU Football(@USUFootball)July 21, 2024 Seldon transferred to Utah State earlier this year after spending the previous two seasons at New Mexico State, where he played under Nate Dreiling, Utah State’s interim head coach and defensive organizer.”Our football program is heartbroken to have to withstand the loss of among our own, “Dreiling said in a declaration released by the school.”Having had a previous relationship with Andre during our time together at New Mexico State, I can inform you he

who liked Andre.” Seldon was a group captain at New Mexico State and appeared in 28 games with the Aggies, recording 98 takes on and 2 interceptions. After starring at Belleville (Mich.)High School, he invested 2 years at Michigan before moving to New Mexico State ahead of the 2022 season.”The Aggie neighborhood is
