Cronin’s outburst featured UCLA down 9 after Maryland created a rebound. He was provided two fast technicals and sent out on his way.
“I don’t keep in mind the last time I had a technical,” he said. “I had enough. I’m sending out a message. I’m tired of it. I understand we’re the outsider and all that– us, SC and Oregon– however that was absurd.
“And take absolutely nothing away from Maryland, an actually excellent team in your home, but you got to protect my players. If you can just hold up guys and slice their arms off, throw them out of the method, it’s difficult to run any offense.”
