
Tiger Woods’ son, Charlie, stops working once again to qualify for U
The 16-year-old boy of golfing fantastic Tiger Woods stopped working for the second time to get approved for the U.S. Open.
Charlie Woods came up 7 shots off the mark to make the cut at Florida’s Wellington National Golf Club on Thursday.
It marked the 2nd consecutive year he came up short of playing in the prestigious tournament his dad has won 3 times. Tiger Woods, 49, is currently out of action after suffering a ruptured Achilles, which will likely require several months of recovery and physical treatment

He finished just 3 swings over par on Thursday, leaving him with a score of 75. He needed to shoot a 68 in order to advance.
In 2015, Charlie missed out on the cut with a rating of 81, according to ESPN.
Both experts and amateurs are permitted to play in the U.S. Open. Each year, regardless of status, the leading 154 golfers to experiment with are approved participation in the PGA significant competition. Organizers said more than 10,000 golfers competed for the opportunity at courses nationwide this year.
The four-day tournament gets underway at Pennsylvania’s Oakmont Nation Club on June 12.
