Sources: Florida, Golden reach 2-year extension
Mar 14, 2024, 10:38 AM ET Florida and Todd Golden have consented to a two-year agreement extension, tying the guys’s basketball coach to the school through the 2029-30 season, sources told ESPN on Thursday, validating multiple reports.A source informed ESPN’s Jeff Borzello that Golden will make over$4 million per year under the brand-new deal. He was making$3 million each year under his preliminary Florida agreement that began in 2021-22 following three seasons at San Francisco.In his 2nd year as coach, Golden has led the Gators to a 21-10 record
and what will likely be their very first NCAA tournament appearance given that the 2020-21 season.
