Previous Longhorns WR Thompson to join Sooners
Former Texas wide receiver Brenen Thompson revealed Monday that he is moving to competing Oklahoma.The rapid receiver went into the transfer website April 15, when the spring transfer window opened, and chose to leave the Longhorns program. He was an ESPN 300 recruit in the 2022 class, ranked No. 143 total, out of Spearman High School in Spearman, Texas, and initially picked the Longhorns over Oklahoma State and Texas A&M. Thompson was a track star in high school also, and was admired for his speed on the football field.
