Penn State sophomore linebacker Abdul Carter was charged with misdemeanor cannabis ownership Tuesday, according to a court filing.WJAC-TV in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, reported that cops were contacted us to Carter’s dorm room on the night of Aug. 8 in action to a smoke alarm being activated. Authorities would later on discover that the company alarm went off due to the fact that Carter was smoking marijuana in his room.Carter admitted to the police that he was smoking marijuana, quiting a baggie which contained the drugs, authorities stated.
“We understand the charges versus Abdul Carter,” Penn State said in a statement released to WJAC. “These alleged actions do not show the values and requirements of our program and will be dealt with. We will not comment any more as this is a continuous legal matter.”
