Last Best Trip and Big Mountain Run this weekend in

There will be two mountain races in Whitefish this weekend: The 43rd annual Big Mountain Run is on Saturday, and the 5th performance of The Last Best Ride gravel biking race is Sunday.

The Big Mountain Run begins at 9:30 a.m. at the base of Big Mountain near the Hell Roaring Saloon. Individuals will run or raise the Danny On Trail for 3.8 miles with 2,200 feet of elevation gain, to complete at the top. The run is a fundraising event for Glacier Nordic Club, and will include fun awards consisting of the Birthday Club, King, Queen, Prince, Princess and Top Dog.
