Karaban much better but still sits out UConn triumph

He was taken to the health center after suffering a head injury late in a loss to Dayton in the seventh-place game in the Maui Invitational. Karaban was cleared to fly back to Connecticut. He was at the XL Center riding a stationary bicycle while his colleagues heated up for Saturday’s game before joining them on the bench.
“Alex is pretty good,” coach Dan Hurley stated. “It was a pretty moderate concussion. Everybody treated it as we should, with a lot of care. Alex had the ability to travel back with us. All of his tests were actually tidy, and he is feeling a lot much better.”
Karaban is the only returning starter from in 2015’s championship game team. He is the leading scorer for the Huskies at 15.9 points per game and tied for the group lead with 14 blocked shots.This was just the
2nd game that Karaban missed in his third season with the Huskies.
