Jackrabbits claim Commissioner’s Cup as Summit League all-sports champions
BROOKINGS– The Jackrabbits continue to rule the Top League.For the 5th straight year South Dakota State caught the conference’s Commissioner’s Cup as the all-sports points champ for the 2024-25 athletic year. It marked the 10th time SDSU won the trophy, establishing a new Top League record.
SDSU earned 94 total points in the standings to top North Dakota State (87) and USD (78 ). The Jacks earned both the Dr. Helen Smiley Women’s All-Sports Award in addition to the Dr. William Steinbrecher Guys’s All-Sports Award to top the total points race.SDSU won regular season league titles in females’s basketball, volleyball and cross country and males’s indoor track, outdoor track and cross nation, the latter of which was the ninth in a row under coach Rod DeHaven.Summit League commissioner Josh Fenton

given annually to the member organization that collects the most combined points in relationship to its positioning in the regular season standings for guys’s and ladies’s soccer, volley ball, men’s and females’s basketball, males’s and females’s tennis, softball and baseball and its champion positioning in guys’s and females’s cross country, swimming and diving, indoor track and field, outdoor track and field and golf.The All-Sports Awards are provided to the institutions that build up the most points in males’s sports and ladies’s sports.
