Cade McNamara is not noted on the depth chart for today’s game versus Wisconsin after leaving Saturday’s win against Northwestern with a concealed injury.Brendan Sullivan, a transfer from Northwestern,
replaced McNamara in the second quarter on Saturday and is noted as the starter with redshirt freshman Marco Lainez as the backup. Sullivan had 79 passing lawns and 41 rushing yards and a goal versus his former team.Hawkeyes coach Kirk Ferentz on Saturday warned versus the modification being
long-term, saying they prepared to play both quarterbacks. Ferentz stated McNamara took a tough hit before being removed from the game and was”shocked, struck the grass pretty hard.”McNamara had an interception returned for a touchdown shortly before being eliminated from
the game. He appeared on the sideline without his helmet in the 2nd half.Ferentz is scheduled to consult with reporters on Tuesday.The transfer from Michigan has
battled injuries throughout his time at Iowa but opened the previous two seasons as the team’s starter. He has 1,017 passing lawns with six touchdowns and five interceptions this season.
