I won’t “stay with sports”

On Monday morning, I composed something about the president’s comments on the Leaders’ former name and whether the group should still be utilizing it.Within 10 minutes, I got a” stick to sports “email.As described on Monday’s #PFTPM, why does anyone believe that will work? Individuals who have actually developed and/or earned platforms in this space aren’t the type to be bossed around, by anybody. Informing me or anyone else to “adhere to sports”isn’t going to work. If anything, it could( if not will )make people who have microphones a lot more inclined to not adhere to sports.I absolutely won’t. While I will not head out of my method to inject a non-sports story or

viewpoint into our coverage, I’ll do it when it seems to me to be the right thing to do. And I won’t keep my viewpoints to myself, simply due to the fact that someone may get upset that my opinion is various from theirs.Bottom line: Informing me(or most likely anybody else in sports media who attempts to stray from sports )will not work. If anything, it’ll have

the opposite effect.So proceed. Inform me to stick to sports. And see what happens.
