Georgia wide receiver Rodarius “Rara” Thomas was jailed early Friday early morning on multiple household violence charges and was being held in the Athens-Clarke County Jail, according to jail records.Thomas, a senior

from Eufaula, Alabama, was charged with ruthlessness to children-family violence, a second-degree felony, and two misdemeanor counts of battery-family violence. He was jailed at 3:20 a.m. ET Friday and is being held without bond.Georgia athletic department representative Steven Drummond informed ESPN,”This is a pending legal matter and we’ll have no further remark.” Under University of Georgia Athletic Association standards, Thomas faces an immediate suspension after being charged with a felony.It is Thomas’2nd arrest on family violence charges considering that moving to Georgia from Mississippi State in 2023. In January 2023, Thomas was arrested by University of Georgia cops and implicated of felony false imprisonment due to the fact that he allegedly restricted and apprehended a person “without legal authority by standing in front of the dormitory door, blocking the exit, telling her she can not leave, “according to an arrest warrant acquired by ESPN at the time.Thomas was also accused of misdemeanor battery due to the fact that he supposedly” did intentionally trigger noticeable physical harm [

by] causing bruising to the best biceps and bruising and abrasion to her shins.”Those criminal charges were come by Athens-Clarke County District Attorney Deborah Gonzalez on March 8 after Thomas effectively finished a pretrial diversion program.Thomas started eight games for the Bulldogs last season, capturing 23 passes for 383 yards with one touchdown. He was sidelined for 3 games with a broken foot.Thomas was expected to be an essential part of Georgia’s passing game this season after star tight end Brock Bowers and receiver Ladd McConkey left for the NFL.
