Linebacker Jamon Dumas-Johnson, a starter at Georgia the past two seasons, revealed Wednesday that he’s moving to Kentucky.Dumas-Johnson, from Hyattsville, Maryland, was a Butkus Award finalist as the leading linebacker in the FBS in 2022. He had 70 takes on, nine tackles for loss and four sacks in 2022, assisting the Bulldogs win their 2nd consecutive CFP national championship.This past season, Dumas-Johnson began the first nine games before breaking his lower arm in a 30-21 triumph versus Missouri on Nov. 4. Dumas-Johnson is the 2nd inside linebacker to transfer from Georgia to an SEC school. Backup Xavian Sorrey is transferring to Arkansas.Freshman C.J. Allen began the last four games at within linebacker for Georgia. Dumas-Johnson likely would have been promoted playing time by Allen and freshman Raylen Wilson next season.Georgia backup quarterback Brock Vandagriff is likewise moving to Kentucky. The Bulldogs dip into Kentucky on Sept. 14.
