Michigan landed Peter Bourque’s commitment Monday early morning, protecting the Wolverines’ future at quarterback with its fourth-consecutive Top 10 passer pledge. Bourque is the No. 7 signal-caller in the country and the No. 86 recruit overall.

Penn State and Georgia also pushed for the competent quarterback from New England, but a summer season surge from the Wolverines helped lead him to Ann Arbor. Offending organizer Chip Lindsey visited him this spring, and then the Leading 100 passer returned to Ann Arbor for the Wolverines’ passing academy. He raved about the program each time he talked with The Wolverine. How We Got Here: Michigan offered Tristan Dare June 4 and, less than two weeks later, the heavily recruited offending lineman visited the Wolverines for the very first time. His recruitment exploded after his first season at Southlake. He played a complete season on the offensive line for the very first time and earned a long list of Power Four scholarships. Attempt took around 20 visits after his sophomore season, but the journey to Ann Arbor simply felt a bit various. He quickly built a close connection to the personnel and the university. Going into that journey, he had no strategies to make an early commitment, but his first day on school changed his mind. He dedicated to the Wolverines privately in July.

How We Got Here: Louis Esposito is the kid of Michigan protective line coach Lou Esposito, but Louis still had to make his deal. His recruitment quickly got traction this spring after a growth spurt that followed his sophomore season. A few Power 4 schools offered before Louis came by Ann Arbor for a camp. He controlled that day and made his dream deal. The lineman constantly wished to play for Michigan, even before his dad joined the staff. He was the very first commit of the 2027 class and plans on playing an active recruiting role.
