FSU WR Wilson is skipping bowl, going into draft

Florida State pass receiver Johnny Wilson is avoiding the Orange Bowl and will declare for the NFL draft, he informed ESPN on Wednesday. Wilson included that he prepares to play in the Elder Bowl as part of his ramp-up to the draft.Wilson is a 6-foot-7, 237-pound pass receiver who brings uncommon physical traits to the position. In his four seasons integrated in college– two at Arizona State and after that two at Florida State– he had 1,757 getting lawns and 8 goal catches, averaging 17.1 lawns per catch.”It’s just been a thing that I’ve been thinking of for a long period of time,”Wilson told ESPN by phone Wednesday.” I wanted to end up the season with an opportunity to compete for the national championship. That didn’t occur. I understood this was going to be my in 2015. I put what I wished to put on movie and did what I generally do on the field. It felt like it was that time. I did what I might here. “Wilson’s production blossomed in his two seasons at FSU. In 2022, he caught 43 passes for 897 backyards and 5 goals, balancing 20.9 lawns per catch. The production rollovered to this season, as, in 10 games, he finished with 41 catches for 617 yards and a set of touchdown catches.Wilson’s size will intrigue teams, as there are couple of receivers his height in this or any draft. That might lead groups to move him around to various receiver areas. Wilson stressed that he can affect the game in many methods.”Honestly, you can put me where you need me,”he said.”Bend me out wide. Put me in the slot.

I’m not a one-dimensional pass receiver. I can run your brief paths from the slot. I can run outside routes and take top of defense. I’m a mismatch anywhere on the field. “Wilson, who played high school football in California, stated he’s grateful for the

journey that brought him to both Arizona State and Florida State.
