Tedford did not coach the team’s bowl game in December due to the fact that of health issues, and Skipper stepped in for the contest. Tedford likewise stepped away from coaching after the 2019 season since of heart-related concerns just to return in 2022.

Skipper, a previous Fresno State linebacker, coached running backs and linebackers at the school from 2006 to 2011, likewise acting as defensive coordinator for three games, before going back to the personnel with Tedford in 2022.
