District 3 lacrosse: Manheim Area beats Wilson in 3A ladies

Liv Palmer, a junior and North Carolina hire, scored 5 goals and had three helps to lead Manheim Township to a 16-8 win over Wilson in the District 3 Class 3A ladies lacrosse champion match on Tuesday.

It was the Blue Streaks’ fourth straight district title, with Wilson beating them in the title game in 2021.

Also for the Raiders in Tuesday’s win, Drew Engle had 4 goals and a help, Patrick Shanahan had 2 objectives, Keenan Munn had 3 assists, and Cooper Glass had an objective and a help.

Goalie Dylan Corros had 6 saves.

Class 2A women

Ellie Kaplan scored 7 goals and had a help as Twin Valley defeated Trinity 15-5 in the 3rd place game in the District 3 Class 2A girls lacrosse competition on Tuesday.

The Raiders (18-4) will open play in the PIAA state competition on Tuesday versus the District 7 champion.

Likewise for Twin Valley, Kylie Duke had 4 goals and Taylor Ebert had 2 objectives and an assist. Maggie Wood had an objective and 2 helps, and Meredith Siever had an objective and an assist.

Goalies Steph Dunbar (4) and Lynzee Anderson (2) combined for 6 saves.
