Brazilian discuss his season. Manchester United midfielder Casemiro has highlighted his strong specific performance this season and his current relationship with Rúben Amorim on his return to Brazilian nationwide team after a year and a half away.
The 33-year-old professional athlete also expressed complete satisfaction with working once again with previous Real Madrid supervisor Carlo Ancelotti.
“I enjoy to be back in the nationwide group, to work with a coach I already understand, but to return playing excellent football, which is the most essential thing,” Casemiro said.
“I wish to emphasise that. I’m not here even if I know the coach; it’s on merit.”
The experienced player took the opportunity to reflect on his season with the Red Devils: “This year has actually been among the most essential of my career, if not the most. Everybody wishes to talk about titles and success, however from the moment you do not play, you can’t change the coach’s viewpoint. It’s made complex.
“The coach [Ruben Amorim] didn’t rely on me at first and now applauds me. It was a year of resilience, among the happiest and most effective of my profession.”
Casemiro also spoke about Neymar, who has not a part of the Brazil team: “It depends on Neymar to be physically well once again, to be pleased once again. Without a doubt, Neymar is more than needed. Not only in the Brazilian group, but in any club on the planet Neymar is important.
“We know that Neymar requires to be physically well, because when he is, he is one of the best. He’s an unique player. For me, he’s top 3 of my time in football: Neymar, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Messi.”
After a goalless draw with Ecuador last time out, Brazil will take on Paraguay in São Paulo on Wednesday.
