Texas Tech running back Tahj Brooks, who was 4th amongst FBS players with 1,443 rushing lawns this season, announced Monday on social media that he was going back to school for a fifth season.The 5-10, 230-pound Brooks rushed for more than 100 lawns in 8 of the Red Raiders’12 games and simply missed in 2 other games when he completed with more than 90 lawns. Brooks has led Texas Tech in hurrying each of the past three seasons, however this was his breakout year after hurrying for 691 lawns in 2022 and 568 backyards in 2021. running back in 2023 and was 3rd in the FBS with 268 brings. He averaged 5.4 yards per carry and scored 9 touchdowns. His 1,443 backyards rank him 6th perpetuity among Texas Tech single-season hurrying leaders.Brooks was able to accumulate his lawns in spite of opposing defenses filling up the line of skirmish to stop him.
