Bozarth headlines trio of Newton kids on all-conference soccer groups

Newton senior Landon Bozarth began every match of his school soccer profession and tied for eighth in assists in the Little Hawkeye

Conference this previous season. The Cardinals most experienced player was called junior varsity all-conference just recently, while senior Javin Doland and junior Micah Mattes were honorable mention selections.

There was only one player who did not play for DCG, Norwalk or Indianola who made first team all-conference. Bozarth, who started all 76 matches of his prep university soccer profession, led Newton with 2 assists, but the Cardinals scored only 4 objectives in their 6 conference matches.

Doland, Newton’s goalie, began all 6 conference matches and led the LHC with 480 minutes in goal and had a league-best 77.2 save portion among goalies who dealt with a minimum of 60 shots on objective. His 78 saves likewise ranked 2nd.

Mattes was among the Cardinals’ defenders. He scored an all-conference honor for the first time in his profession after beginning in all six LHC matches.
