Blades take huge step towards play-off final
Sheffield United took a huge action towards the Champion play-off last as they defeated Bristol City 3-0 far from home.
The third-placed team always entered into this two-legged tie as favourites but they may not have expected to have the semi-final possibly wrapped up after one game.
The essential minute of the game came just before the break when Rob Dickie lowered Kieffer Moore in the box with no intention to play the ball that resulted in his straight red card and a charge to the Blades.
Harrison Burrows stepped up to take the spot-kick and sent Max O’Leary the incorrect method to offer his side a one-goal benefit at the break.
At this point, Sheffield United were a goal ahead with a man additional and they increased their lead in the 73rd minute when replacement Andre Brooks found himself in space to end up from close quarters.
It was 3-0 soon after. This time it was a corner delivery from the right that Bristol City didn’t handle which ultimately led to Callum O’Hare to end up from close quarters to make it 3-0.
The Robins will now need a miraculous efficiency if they wish to schedule a Championship last area that already seems like it is United’s to lose.
