Big 12 reveals league tiebreaking treatments

The Huge 12 has identified its tiebreaker policies for this season if required to determine which groups will play in its conference championship game, the league revealed Friday.The Big 12, which
just began its very first season as a 16-team conference, has grown with the additions of former Pac-12 teams Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado and Utah. The league will use the following actions to determine its leading 2 teams if there is a tie: A. The tied groups will be compared based upon their head-to-head record during the season.B. The tied groups will be compared based on win percentage versus all common conference opponents.C.
The tied groups will be compared based on win percentage against the next highest-placed common challenger
in the standings( based upon the record in all games played within the conference)case through the standings.D. The connected teams will be compared based on combined win portion in conference games of conference opponents.E. The connected groups will be compared
based on overall variety of wins in a 12-game season.F. The agent will be chosen based on greatest ranking by SportSource Analytics(group ranking score metric )following the last weekend of regular-season games.G. The agent will be selected by a coin toss.The Big 12 likewise restated that Saturday’s game in between Utah and Baylor will not count as a conference game because it was originally arranged as a nonconference game before Utah signed up with the Big 12.
