Badgers’ Del Rio to resign after crash, OWI arrest

Graduate of Northwestern University.Former NFL coach Jack Del Rio, the senior advisor to Wisconsin head coach Luke Fickell, will resign after he was apprehended early Friday and mentioned for running a car while intoxicated following a crash in Madison, Wisconsin.Del Rio, 61, was detained soon after midnight Friday after a car he was driving struck a street indication, broke a fence and came to a rest in a yard, according to a Madison Authorities occurrence report. Officers were dispatched to the scene, located west of school and Camp Randall Stadium, at 12:35 a.m.Witnesses directed the officers to the motorist, who was walking

      far from the area, according to the occurrence report. No injuries were reported.Del Rio “revealed signs of impairment”and confessed to driving the automobile.
