Pats’ Boutte apprehended over illegal wagering at LSU
Jan 25, 2024, 02:26 PM ET New England Patriots wide receiver Kayshon Boutte was apprehended Thursday in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, over claims of unlawful sports wagering while he played at LSU.Louisiana State Police stated the charges versus Boutte, 21, consist of a felony count of computer scams and a misdemeanor count of betting prohibited for individuals under 21. The examination is ongoing, authorities stated, with service charges possible.Investigators appointed to the Louisiana State Authorities Video Gaming Enforcement Department
found that Boutte bank on sports from April 6, 2022, up until Might 7, 2023, when he was 20. Boutte supposedly used an alias to navigate the age requirement for positioning sports wagers in Louisiana.The alias account believed to be utilized by Boutte put more than 8,900 wagers, with at least 17 bets on NCAA football games– including
