Newton baseball takes winning streak into postseason

Cade Bauer Newton led 1-0 in the very first, but Des Moines Christian plated 4 runs in the bottom of the inning. Wermager doubled and scored one run, Andrew included one run and one RBI and Cade Bauer broke in 2 hits, 2 steals and one RBI.

Bauer leads the Cardinals with 21 RBIs and Andrew’s 5 doubles lead the squad.

Mendez doubled, scored one run and had one RBI and he was hit by a pitch, Drew Bauer totaled one hit, one run and one walk and Rozendaal walked two times and scored 2 runs and he was struck by one pitch. Mendez has been hit by a team-most six pitches.
