Stroud were revealed Monday as the Heisman Trophy finalists.The 4 quarterbacks, who bet four of the top 10 groups this season, including 3 that will play in the College Football Playoff, will remain in New york city for the Heisman ceremony Saturday.USC’s Williams is the odds-on favorite (-2500)to take home the award even after the Trojans were removed from the College Football Playoff after a loss to Utah in the Pac-12 national championship Friday. The sophomore, who moved to USC from Oklahoma after the Trojans worked with Lincoln Riley, exceeded 4,000 passing yards this season and had 37 goals, connected for the most in the country.Duggan, who led TCU to an undefeated routine season, tossed for 3,321 lawns and 30 goals this season along with only four interceptions. The senior out of Iowa will lead the Horned Frogs
against Michigan in the Feast Bowl, with the winner heading to the nationwide title game.2 Associated The Peach Bowl semifinal will feature the other 2 Heisman finalists facing off versus each other in Bennett and Stroud.Bennett returned to Georgia for his senior season after leading the Bulldogs to a national title and threw for 3,425 yards
and 20 goals for his encore.Stroud was a Heisman finalist last season and completed fourth. This season, Stroud tossed for 3,340 lawns and 37 goals– tied for the most in the nation together with Williams.Quarterbacks have dominated the award in the last few years, winning 18 times since 2000 and taking house 5 of the past 6 trophies. In 2020, Alabama’s DeVonta Smith was the first pass receiver to win the Heisman because Desmond Howard in 1991. Last season, Alabama’s Bryce Young became the very first Tide quarterback to win the award.
Regardless of tossing for 3,007 lawns and 27 touchdowns this season, Young was not nominated.The Heisman Prize will be presented Saturday in New york city (8 p.m. ET, ESPN).
